This year we have an academy cup youth series. This means that you now have four events in the year. You can take part in them individually and you can accumulate ranking points from each event leading you to an annual ranking and a star prize.

We are very excited about this series and we have listened to the fencers over the years and we hope to deliver a competitive, efficient and friendly events.

We had been thinking hard of how best to produce a better event and what fencers need. Therefore, we came up with many ideas and formats. this is why we ran a series of tests during 2009 in order to ensure we pick the right format. See you in 2009.

The event went on smoothly. All events finished on time. It was good to note that the finals from all of the events were quite strong and made for an exciting finish to the events. Soon I will have details of next year's event and some photos from this year.

We have just been informed that there is a problem with competition venue. This is why we regret to inform everyone that the event is cancelled for 2006. All applications have now been returned with full fees. We apologies for any inconvenience this has caused anyone, but we like to run a very organised event. We feel that changing venue at late notice will effect the quality and compromises good organisation.

However, due to the success of the event and the demand expressed, we have decided to run a second event for the under 12.
