The event for this year was an improvement to last year. There were few more entries, more fencing for those eliminated after the rounds and there were more prizes to dish out.

For the second year the event was referee self sufficient. This left parents, coaches and managers to support their fencers, enjoy the day and complain!!

The event started at 10am. The presentation after the gala finals was finished at 2:45pm. Despite a couple of hiccups, this was a very good record for finishing time.

All this thanks to the referees, organising officials, parents, fencers and coaches.

Everyone of the kids left with a present and a smile. That included those children who were initially unhappy for losing their DE fight.

Much positive feedback has been coming in after the event. We are looking at all this to improve next year even more.
